Moulding chamber plates for moulding tools in brickmaking presses are in practice required in large quantities. These moulding chamber plates have previously been made in one piece with a relatively great thickness in order that they can withstand the high loads. These moulding chamber plates, however, require great material expenditure, and there are in particular difficulties in hardening, which leads to inadequate wear properties. A moulding chamber plate with an unhardened central support plate and two outer plates with high wear resistance is thus proposed, the plates being fastened to one another in such a manner that the surfaces of the outer plates are free of fastening elements in the region of the wear load.
