PURPOSE:To improve the brake effect and steering performance by varying the aimed slip rate in the brake pressure control according to the turning angle of a steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:When the turning angle of a steering wheel is small, brake pressure control is executed to obtain a high slip rate S2, and when the turning angle is large, brake pressure control is executed to obtain a low slip rate S1. Therefore, when the slip rate of a wheel becomes over SH2 on the brake application during straight advance, brake pressure is reduced, and the high brake effect can be generated. Further, when the slip rate of the wheel becomes over SH1 on the brake application during turn, brake pressure is reduced, and the steering performance having the less transverse slide is generated.
