A motoring atlas contains, according to the invention, groups of markings 19 on its lower end face 18 which extend from the corner 23 of the book block 11 which is remote from the spine 24, each group of markings having a different colour and the individual markings within each single-coloured group of markings differing in respect of their length. On the flyleaf 13, there are assigned to the various colours frame outlines 14, 15 in the same colours. The length of the markings gives a relative measure for the scale of the associated maps. <IMAGE>
