An ironer's gantry, with a suspension device for an iron arranged above the ironing surface of an ironing table, is provided, the suspension point of the said suspension device being movable to and fro along a beam, and the beam being movable on a post fastened to the ironing table, by means of a lever arrangement forming a four-bar mechanism, in such a way that the said beam is pivoted parallel to the longitudinal axis of the ironing surface about axes of rotation of the four-bar mechanism. This ensures that, even in the event of very small deflections of the iron out of the vertical, an even-moving follow-up of the suspension point both in the working position and in the suspended position takes place, without lateral forces impeding or impairing the guidance of the iron. <IMAGE>
