Device for holding a yarn spool with at least one projecting annular flange, characterised in that the device includes a flat base-plate (A) having a fixed stop (B) projecting outwardly from an upper location of the front face of the base-plate in a slightly downward direction so as to include with the base-plate an angle less than 90 degrees, in that a pivoted spring loaded locking pawl (18) is mounted below the stop (B) in a self locking disposition relative to the stop (B), the axis (11) of the pawl being held parallel to the stop (B) and parallel to the base-plate, and in that the locking pawl is connected to a releasing lever (D) projecting through an opening (12) in the base-plate (A) such that in the operating condition the projecting upper part of flange of the spool cartridge is held clampingly between the stop (B) and the clamping pawl (18), while the lower part of the projecting flange of the spool cartridge is supported on the base-plate (A). |
