摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain excellent visibility free of a flicker even when a response time is about 250musec by scanning an erasure signal with a common waveform impressed to a certain scanning electrode at timing overlapping with the timing of a write signal with the common waveform which is impressed to the last scanning electrode. CONSTITUTION:Write pulses with the common waveform 201 which are impressed to a scanning electrode are made to overlap with the erasure signal with the common waveform 202 which are impressed to the next scanning electrode timing points P3, P13, and P23 to suppress the phase difference between the scanning lines to only the pulse at P4, and the period T of a frame is shortened until T=P4+P2=P4N. Pulse widths at the timing points P3 and P4 are equal and the pulse width at timing P2 in an integral (duty ratio) multiple of that at P4; and voltages V1, V2, V4, and V5 are optional voltages suitable to a liquid crystal element and voltages V3 and V6 are optional voltage other than zero V.
