In an easy-to-open package made of plastic, consisting of a package lower part made of single-layer film with a heat-sealable surface and of a lid with an opening handle made of three-layer composite film and heat-sealable surface, the heat-sealable surfaces of the lower part and lid being bonded together, facing one another, so as to form a heat-sealing zone, the composite film (8, 9, 10) of the lid (6) has between the outer lid-sealing film (8) and the inner heat-sealing layer (10) an adhesion-promoter layer (9) whose bonding strength with respect to the lid-sealing film (8) is higher than with respect to the heat-sealing layer (10) and smaller with respect to the heat-sealing layer (10) than the bonding strength of the latter with respect to the heat-sealable surface (5) of the lower part (1). In this arrangement, the heat-sealing layer (10) of the lid (6) has a self-contained weakening line (11) which is arranged - running essentially parallel to the heat-sealing zone (13) - in the region between the heat-sealing zone (13) and the lid centre and has a depth which is greater than half the thickness of the heat-sealing layer (10). <IMAGE>
