A hair-drier contains an oblong housing from which a handle protrudes essentially radially. The housing has an air-intake opening and a main air blow-out opening, there being arranged in the housing a blower by means of which the air can be conveyed from the air-intake opening to the main air blow-out opening. Furthermore, a heating device is situated in the housing in order to heat up the air conveyed through the housing. In order for the hair-drier to also convey air to the underside of strands of hair to be blow-dried, there is provided in the housing upstream of the main air blow-out opening at least one secondary air blow-out opening through which part of the air taken in can be blown out radially with respect to the longitudinal extent of the housing.
