PURPOSE:To permit the stratification of the mixed gas and prevent the interference of a fuel injection valve by arranging the fuel injection valve in the vicinity of a confluence part to be secondary air feeding passage of a primary intake passage and arranging said fuel injection valve from the same direction in each cylinder from the side part with respect to the primary intake passage. CONSTITUTION:Since a control valve 25 is opened when an engine 1 is in high loading, intake is supplied into a combustion chamber 2 through an intake port 6 from the primary and secondary intake passages 24 and 26. The mixed gas is formed in the combustion chamber 2 by the injection of fuel from a fuel injection valve 27, and said mixed gas is ignited by a spark plug 19, and combustion is carried out. In this case, the fuel injection valve 27 is equipped with an injection port part 27a at the top edge in the vicinity of the confluence part to the secondary air feeding passage 26 of the primary intake passage 24, and the injection port part 27a is directed to the center in the upper part of the combustion chamber 2. Each fuel injection valve 27 in each cylinder is arranged from the same direction on the side part with respect to each primary intake passage 24.
