In preparing a histogram, window data (WDD) is input to a microprogram controller (26) for each pixel of the image. When the window data represents the inside of a processing region (window WDA), the microprogram controller (26) gives a microprogram data for preparing a histogram to a histogram processor (24) to carry out a predetermined density counting operation. When the window data represents the outside of the processing region, the microprogram for preparing the histogram is not given to the histogram processor, thereby inhibiting the predetermined density counting operation.
|
