In a cold-water and hot-water mixing valve with thermostatic control of the mixing water temperature by a thermostat positioned by a nut piece of the temperature preselection arrangement and a double-seat valve slide held tightly against the thermostat with a spring, the control arrangement being arranged in a tubular bush or cartridge which can be inserted in fittings, it is proposed that the nut piece, which is mounted non-rotationally but axially displaceably, has on the upstream end side with a sleeve-like collar a sealed but axially variable connection to the outlet opening of the mixing chamber and supports the thermostat element and that the hollow spindle, which is supported in the head of the cartridge housing and is in engagement with the nut piece via a movement thread, bears a separate member, likewise adjustable from outside, for defining the mixing water outflow quantity, the walls of hollow spindle and nut piece bearing against one another upstream in a sealed manner and the mixing water being guided behind the member radially into the outer outflow region of the cartridge housing.
