A blood filter has a cannula (2) and duct (3) for withdrawal of blood from a patient, connected to the filter itself (11). The latter removes filtrates from the blood, which is returned via a second duct and cannula (4,5). - A sensor (26) detects the amount of blood withdrawn. A pressure equalising valve (20) connected to the sensor equalises pressure in the flow of filtrate through the sensor. The pressure equalising valve can be situated adjacent to, and upstream of the sensor. |
