PURPOSE:To clean up and upgrade a molten steel and to improve the durability of lining bricks by building the side wall part of a ladle which contacts the molten steel by using specifically composed basic bricks limited in the lining height direction and refractory mortar. CONSTITUTION:The basic bricks contains metallic magnesium and <=4wt% carbon and are so molded as to have 50-80mm lining height direction to small bricks which are built by each piece by using the mortar. Cracks are generated with the bricks having >=80mm lining height direction in this stage. The efficiency of building is low with the small bricks having <50mm height.
