PURPOSE:To prevent fluctuation of the idling speed of an engine, by correcting the memory value of an operation correcting quantity for a control valve for controlling the quantity of intake air according to the deviation between the memory value corresponding to the operation quantity and the operation quantity at the time when electric means are in operation. CONSTITUTION:In executing feedback control of the idling speed of an engine 1 by an electronic control unit 5 on the basis of parameter signals representing the operational conditions of the engine and signals representing the conditions of electric load which are given from a first and a second electric means 15a, 15b, the valve opening duty ratio is determined as the sum of a feedback term and an electric load term of the first electric means 15a at the time when the electric means are ON. Then, the deviation between the valve opening duty ratio and the previously obtained mean value is detected, and the memory value is renewed each time a step is executed. By employing such a method, it is enabled to enhance the accuracy of engine speed control at the time when the electric means are turned from ON to OFF or vice versa. |
