发明名称 INSPECTING METHOD FOR NONLINEAR TWO-TERMINAL ELEMENT GROUP FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To realize easy, low-cost inspection by dipping a substrate which has a nonlinear two-terminal element group for liquid crystal display and specific electrodes in a specific solution, and supplying a negative potential a bus bar group on the substrate and coloring a defect place. CONSTITUTION:The substrate having linear two-terminal elements 3 for liquid crystal display and specific electrode plates are dipped in the solution which contains a viologen derivative or 4-benzoyl pyridinium derivative. In this state, a negative potential based upon the potential of the electrode plates is applied to bus bar 2 on the substrate for a specific time. Then, heptyl viologen positive ions ionized into a bivalent state are reduced nearby cathode plates and further react on bromine ions to deposit water-insoluble blue films on cathodes. The blue films do not vary even when the cathodes are opened electrically afterward. Consequently, an element 3 and a defect place nearby it are identified. This method enables inspection to be performed at a time and the inspection is easily completed in a short time.</p>
