PURPOSE:To prevent a double recording to a recorded track by stopping forcibly the recording of an information signal with the non-recorded track of the preceding address of the first recorded track after the recording of the information signal to the non-recorded track after the non-recorded track of a desired recording starting address is started. CONSTITUTION:When a recording starting scene is projected, a prescribed key input is execute, the key input is awaited, and a control part 1 executes a recording starting action. When the frame address of the track recorded presently is the non-recording track or above of the preceding frame address from the frame address of the detected and confirmed recorded track, or it is detected that the recording stopping switch is pushed, the recording is stopped when the recording of the frame, which is presently recorded, is completed. Thus, the double recording to the recorded recording track can be prevented without fail.
