PURPOSE:To form a thin film having good resistance to heat and impact without spoiling the surface of an aluminum or aluminum alloy disk finished to a specular surface by subjecting a fiber-reinforced type composite material to heating, pressurizing and hardening by an adhesive material thereby reducing the weight thereof. CONSTITUTION:The aluminum or aluminum alloy disk 1 is subjected to degreasing and cleaning in an aq. soln. mixture composed of a chromic acid and sulfuric acid, then the disk is adhered by the adhesive agent 2 to the fiber- reinforced composite material 3 by heating, pressurizing and hardening; thereafter the surface of the disk 1 is subjected to specular finishing to required surface roughness. The surface is then subjected to a pretreatment, zinc replacement treatment and electroless nickel plating. The surface of the electroless nickel plating layer 4 is mirror-finished and a thin magnetic film 5 and protective film 6 are successively formed by a dry film forming method on the surface of the disk finished to the specular surface. Since the fiber-reinforced type composite material is subjected to heating, pressurizing and hardening by the adhesive agent, the weight is correspondingly reduced. The weight of the disk is thus reduced.
