PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of an incoming to a representative group, in the extension representing system of an electronic exchange with an accumulative program control system, by setting an extension at the first selection rank order of the representative group when the electronic exchange receives a prescribed representative selection specific number from the extension included in an extension representative group. CONSTITUTION:As the representative selection specific number to request the setting of the first selection, it is assumed that a specific number, for example, 124 is regulated in advance. An extension 3, when it calls, and listens a dial tone, dials the specific number 124. When a register 7 receives the representative selection specific number 124, a central control unit 5 calls a representative group memory 8. Next, the central control unit 5 detects the extension connected through the register 7 by which the specific number 124 is received, and a main switch 4, and sets a flag 1 at the first selection information memory area 10 of the column of the extension number 3 in the representative group memory 8. And the flag 1 for other extension in the same representative group is erased, and also, a set completion signal is sent out to an outgoing extension 3.
