PURPOSE:To measure the flow rate of a mixed fluid without the influence of ununiformity of the density distribution of the mixed fluid by providing counter electrodes on the outside circumference of a round tube, where the mixed fluid is flowed, so that the extent of each of them about the axis of the round tube is 105 deg.. CONSTITUTION:Powdered granules are flowed in an insulating round tube 1. Electrodes 2-7 are provided on the outside circumference of the round tube 1. The electrode 2 faces electrodes 3-7 about an axis Y-Y of the round tube 1. If extents alpha and beta of electrodes 2 and 3-7 about the axis Y-Y are 105 deg., the sensitivity distribution of the electrostatic capacity between the electrode 2 and electrodes 3-7 which face each other is approximately uniform even if the density distribution of powdered granules has a partiality to the center or the circumferential edge part of the round tube 1 and is not uniform. The electrostatic capacity between counter electrodes is measured to measure the flow velocity, the density, and the flow rate of powdered granules. |
