PURPOSE:To reduce the natural limit of sludge and to improve the efficiency of melt, by a method wherein sludge produced from water treatment is granulated and dried to select it into granular matter and particle, and the particle is fed directly to a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:Sludge produced from water treatment is disposed by a dehydrator such as belt press tye dehydrators, is supplied to a granulating device 11, and is molded and granulated into a specified shape. A matter to be granulated is fed to a drier 12, and after a moisture content is reduced, all of the matter to be disposed is fed to a selecting device 13 to select it into a granular matter and particle for treatment. The selected granular matter is fed to a hopper 1 to fill an annular feed passage R therewith. Meanwhile, the particle is supplied to a feed passage 15 through a quantitative feeder 14 located at the upper part of a combustion chamber 3, and it is disposed and fed in a given quantities directly to the combustion chamber 3. This enables reduction of the natural limit of sludge and permits improvement of melt efficiency. |
