PURPOSE:To provide a heating cooking promoting material which promotes heating of an object to be cooked when the object to be cooked is heated by microwaves, by a method wherein the material is formed by a heat resistant insulating sheet and a heat generating layer formed by a plurality of metals or metallic oxides which have a discontinuous area and are formed on the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A heating cooking promoting material 1 for electronic range is formed by a heat resistant insulating sheet 2, and a heat generating layer 3, having a discontinuous small area, formed on the one side surface of the heat resistant insulating sheet and by a metal or a metallic oxide. When the heating cooking promoting material 1 for electronic range is cooked by means of range, it is located between the table of the electronic range and a package container or package bag, placed on the table and containing a food. Emitted microwaves are collided with the heating cooking promoting material 1, a part thereof is reflected upward by the heat generating layer 3, and the other partial part is absorbed by the heat generating layer 3. Further, far infrared rays are generated by a material, by which the heat generating layer is formed, to promote heating.
