PURPOSE:To improve the precision of scanning light and picture quality with simple constitution by providing partial noncontacting part between a fitting seat and a polygon mirror, and a rigid late body and an adjusting adapter and making those members of only rigid materials. CONSTITUTION:The polygon mirror 10 fitted slantingly to a rotating shaft 11 is adjusted by turning up an adjusting screw 15 so that respective mirror surfaces 10a are perpendicular to the rotating shaft 11. Then, the rigid plate body 13 is used to disperse the one-point concentrated load by the depression of the adjusting screw 15 into a distributed load which presses a surface, thereby reducing the local application of an unreasonable force to the polygon mirror 10. A spacer 14 prevents the gap between the plate body 13 and adjusting adapt er 16 from narrowing down extremely and is reduced in diameter so that there is no hindrance to the adjustment by the adjusting screw 15. This constitution uses no elastic member and use only rigid plate bodies entirely, so there is no variation in heat rotating force and other disturbance. |
