PURPOSE:To make power transmission performable even at the time of low temperature, by setting up a small diametral hole in an suction oil passage at a lower position than an oil level in a reservoir at oil temperature in a steadily working state but at a higher position than a suction opening, respectively. CONSTITUTION:If a transmission is left intact for hours in a low temperature state, oil temperature is also lowered and contracted, whereby an oil level goes down more than a level A in oil temperature at the time of usual driving. When an oil pump 24 is driven in this state, oil is fed to the side of a gear shifting mechanism 28 by way of a control valve 26 and since oil viscosity is high, its return to a reservoir 10 is bad, so that the oil level continues to go down. And, when it goes down up to a position of a small diametral hole 22, it inhales a fixed quantity of air, insomuch that discharge oil pressure is not lowered more, and a sudden drop in the oil level is kept back, while it inhales air intermittently from a suction opening 20, and keeps the requisite hydraulic pressure without vibrating this pressure. Thus, power transmission is made possible to be done even at the time of low temperature.
