PURPOSE:To restrain the lowering of torque and accelerating feeling at a minimum value to always maintain a best burning condition while suitably avoiding the occurrence of knocking, by controlling the amount of intake-air during normal operation for restraining knocking, and by controlling the ignition timing during acceleration. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a first control means (c) for computing a control value for controlling the amount of intake-air, and a second control means (d) for computing a control value for controlling the ignition timing, in order to restrain knocking at a predetermined level. During high load and steady-state operation, a selecting means (e) adopts the first control means (c), and therefore, disposes knocking restraint only by controlling the intake-air amount when knocking occurs while the ignition timing is changed under best fuel consumption point (MBT) control. Further, during acceleration in a low load condition, the selecting means (e) adopts the second control means (d) so that the ignition timing is retarded to restrain knocking when knocking occurs, but the ignition timing is maintained at the MBT when no knocking occurs. Accordingly, it is possible to restrain the lowering of torque and acceleration feeling at a minimum value. |
