发明名称 LIQUID-CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the fraction defective of a liquid-crystal display device without worsening the display quality, by forming a transparent conductive film made of the same material as that used for a picture element electrode at the place where the picture element electrode is put on a metallic electrode so that the former cannot be contacted with the latter. CONSTITUTION:After transparent conductive films 12 and 13 are deposited on a base plate 11, a pattern is formed by photoetching. Then another pattern is formed after an amorphous material 14 which is composed mainly of silicon is deposited and one 15 of matrix electrodes is deposited. After the deposition, the electrode 15 is selectively formed by photoetching so that, at least, a part of the electrode 15 can be contacted with the auxiliary electrode 13 and a liquid crystal layer 16 is put between an upper transparent base plate 18 with a selectively formed transparent conductive film 17 and the base plate 11. Therefore, the electric current flows smoothly due to the auxiliary electrode 13 even when the metallic electrode 15 which is a line or row electrode is partially disconnected. Moreover, the necessity of widening the line width of the electrode 15 is eliminated even if large-picture display is made, since the metallic electrode 15 and auxiliary electrode 13 are connected in parallel and the electric resistance can be reduced. Thus a liquid-crystal display device which is high in numerical aperture and excellent in picture quality can be realized.</p>
