PURPOSE:To execute only the change of a rule at the change of diagnosis algorithm and to easily execute failure diagnosis by describing the relation of phenomena included in a device by an IF-THEN rule format. CONSTITUTION:The rule of phenomena included in the device is described as a pair of a condition part (IF part) describing the condition of decision and a result part (THEN part) describing a phenomenon estimated by the condition. The correspondence of Japanese character strings A1-An indicating the phenomenon of the device to numeral codes a1-an assigned to respective phenomena is stored in an information storage part 11. When a diagnosis execution part 15 is driven, a failure condition menu picture is displayed and the condition is selected. When a condition A1 is selected, it code information a1 is stored in a device state storate part 14 as a known phenomenon. Then, the code information a1 fetches the rule used for the condition part. |
