PURPOSE:To reduce the frictional torque by providing a spool valve mechanism which is opened/closed by a differential pressure between the inner pressure of a compression work chamber and a delivery pressure or a suction pressure in an oil supply path and closing a spool valve during high speed operation. CONSTITUTION:A spool 24 is inserted into a cavity section 23 communicating between a cylinder chamber 13 and a delivery side space section 20 while being energized to the delivery side. The spool 24 is slided by the differential pressure between a delivery pressure and an inner pressure of a compression work chamber so as to vary the setting position of a groove section 26 thus controlling the hydraulic pressure in an oil supply path 22. Consequently, the frictional torque of vane can be reduced under high speed operation by closing the spool valve 24 and reducing the back pressure of vane.
