PURPOSE:To make stable power transmission performable, by giving turning force in a direction of winding a tension wire to a winding rotor at all times by the spring member stretched across a space between a tension rotor and the winding rotor. CONSTITUTION:For example, a pulley 3 at the input side pressed plural driving blocks 30 forcibly between a fixed pulley 10 and a moving pulley 20 making a pulley space variable with hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic chamber 20a, and it performs power transmission with an endless belt 5 being wrapped on these blocks. These driving blocks 30 are attracted toward an input shaft 1 by a tension wire 8 being rolled on the winding rotor 83 fitted in a tension rotor 84 free of rotation. This winding rotor 83 is always given turning force in a direction of winding the tension wire 80 by dint of the coil spring 85 stretched across a space between both these rotors 83 and 84. Thus, each driving block can be highly accurately positioned in a radial regular position, so that its durability is improved.
