PURPOSE:To obtain a chemically stable battery separator in which mixing of metallic ions from both electrode solutions is reduced, and electric resistance is low by forming a resin film having a cation group on a microporous film containing inorganic fine particles which have good affinity with electrolyte in pores. CONSTITUTION:A part or entire part of through pores of a microporous synthetic resin film comprising olefin polymer, halogenated olefin polymer, or copolymer of these polymers containing fine inorganic particles in the pores is filled with film forming resin having a cation group. A separator uses the microporous synthetic resin film as a base material, and meets requirements such as high porosity to reduce electric resistance, good affinity with electrolyte, stability to electrolyte, no impurity which is electrochemically harmful, smooth surface, stiffness, and good processability. |
