PURPOSE:To transmit torque efficiently in a small sized steel belt with a small number of parts by continuously providing a plurality of pin insert portions bent in the opposite directions of adjacent torque transmission plates in such a manner as to enter each other and inserting connecting pins 6 therein. CONSTITUTION:A thin wall portion is formed between a member 1 contacting a V-pulley and an upper engaging member 4, and notched at two places, wherein both sides are bent in one direction to provide support members 2, 2' and the central portion is bent in the opposite direction to provide a support member 3. Thus, a pin insert portion is formed. A projection 5 is provided on one surface of the engaging member 4, and a corresponding recess portion 7 is provided on the opposite surface. A lot of torque transmitting plates are combined with each other in such a manner that the support member 3 enters between support members 2, 2' of the other torque transmitting plate, the projection 5 and the recess portion 7 are engaged with each other, and a pin 6 is inserted in a circle formed by the support members 2, 2' and 3 to assemble a belt. Thus, torque can be transmitted efficiently for output shaft load in a small sized belt with a small number of parts.
