PURPOSE:To obtain the titled binder which has good fixing property at a low temp., and does not generate an offset phenomenon at all by incorporating a specific amount of a maleimide prepolymer to a satd. polyester resin which has 30-70 deg.C glass transition temp. and >=10kOHmg/g of acid value. CONSTITUTION:The titled binder comprises 1-20pts.wt. the maleimide prepolymer per 100pts.wt. the satd. polyester resin which has 30-70 deg.C the glass transition temp. and >=10kOHmg/g acid value. The satd. polyester resin is obtd. by condensating an optional acid component and a polyhydric alcohol component. If the satd. polyester resin has <=30 deg.C the glass transition temp., the storage stability of the toner reduces, while, has >=70 deg.C, the fixing temp. increases. If the prescribed resin has <=10kOHmg/g acid value, the improvement of the offset phenomenon is not recognized. The maleimide prepolymer has >=2 the maleimide groups which are induced from polyamine and maleic anhydride. The maleimide prepolymer must be contained 1-20pts.wt., preferably, 1-15pts. wt. per 100pts.wt. the satd. polyester resin. |
