PURPOSE:To achieve a test simply in low cost by an inexpensive testing device, by a method wherein the testing device formed only of a one-phase conductor and a conductor support structural part is used in a state fixed onto a vibration stand to generate a predetermined acceleration. CONSTITUTION:A testing device constituted of a conductor 1 and a conductor support structural part consisting of a support insulator 3, a seat 4, clamp metal fittings 5, a leg 6 and a bolt 7 etc. is mounted on a vibration stand 19 by bolts 20. A test is performed as follows. At first, acceleration X in a horizontal direction is generated in the vibration stand 19 in the axial right-angled direction of the conductor 1 by a vibrator 21 through a shaft 22. In this case, inertia force equivalent to electromagnetic force acting on the conductor 1 is acted on the conductor in the axial right-angled direction thereof by a short- time current. By this method, the inspection of the mechanical strength of a phase-separated bus to the short-time current can be achieved simply in low cost by the inexpensive testing device.
