PURPOSE:To facilitate handling by identifying a channel number added to a picture extracting instruction in a picture signal obtained through the reproduction of a disk and displaying all the identified channel number. CONSTITUTION:When an inputted picture extraction instruction is a white font instruction, a microprocessor 24 reads a channel number from a color graphic picture data of one pack included with its instruction. The microprocessor 24 sets bits F0-Ff of a flag register corresponding to its channel number to '1' based on the read channel number. When the channel number extracted before is a channel number selected and set by a key switch group 27, the picture extraction instruction is executed and the channel number is displayed on a color CRT display device 32. Thus, which channel number is recorded on a disk 11 is recognized easily by the user and the handling is facilitated.
