SKID BUTTON FOR WALKING BEAM FURNACE

摘要

PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce skid marks and to improve the quality of a product by using a composite material consisting of a heat resistant metal and ceramics as the material of the upper part of each skid button brought into contact with a material to be heated and a heat resistant alloy as the material of the lower part fixed on a skid beam. CONSTITUTION:The upper part of each skid button brought into contact with a material to be heated is made of a composite material 1 consisting of a heat resistant metal and ceramics and the lower part fixed on a skid beam 3 is made of a heat resistant alloy 2. The skid button is used in a walking beam furnace whose maximum internal temp. exceeds 1,000 deg.C. The ceramic content in the composite material 1 is 30-70wt% and the height (b) of the lower part made of the heat resistant alloy 2 is 100-130mm.
