PURPOSE:To set station data even by a person in charge of maintenance who does not have technical knowledge by translating automatically station data written in an exclusiveuse paper and converting them to the form which can be stored to a data base in a means to store the station data to the data base of a electronic private branch exchange. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange PABX1, a CPU 12 reads station data based upon the customer request from a data base 11 for the station data, operates a program stored beforehand and executes the connecting exchange control. In the data base 11, the number data related to an extension telephone set 3 outgoing incoming connecting regulating data, tenant data and the data related to respective types of the service function are included. The person in change of maintenance hears the operating mode of a PABX1 from a customer, writes this in the mark sheet or the exclusiveuse paper in which the writing format is determined, and inputs it to a reader 22 connected to a key input device 21. The data are analyzed and processed by a translating processing device 23, converted to the form which the CPU 12 of the PABX1 can be processed and registered through the CPU 12 to the data base 11.
