PURPOSE:To reduce the number of broken sheet glasses to none or to a marked extent and eliminate flashes by setting a sheet glass by means of preparing the interval of core provided between split cavity molds for molding inserts and the split cavity molds more than the thickness of sheet glass, clamping, contacting the sheet glass with a mold on one side, and insert molding raw material for molding in the cavity of the inside of the insert mold. CONSTITUTION:On the upper face of a core 8 set in a position lower than the height that the thickness D of sheet glass 15 and maximum clearance alphaare deducted from the contacting face of a top force 11 and a bottom force 1, a sheet glass 15 is placed on which the top force 11 is piled up and clamped. By actuating a hydraulic unit and adjusting a pressure regulating valve, a section 9a is gradually pressurized to raise up the core 8 within a range of clearance and the sheet glass 15 on the core 8 contacts the top force 11. Thus, a window panel 16 constituted with non-rigid synthetic resin being insert molded in the cavity C and weatherstrip 14 bonded integrally on the edge of plate glass 15 is obtained. |
