PURPOSE:To reduce unnaturality due to a discontinuous part by using a retarded signal so as to overlap the discontinuous part in reproducing the tape of assembled recording. CONSTITUTION:The reproducing signal is retarded for a prescribed period and a signal for a prescribed period overlapped with the retarded signal with respect to the preceding/succeeding signals to the discontinuous part is attenuated/increased gradually, and the result is added to reduce the unnaturality of the discontinuous part. That is, the prescribed amount of delay corresponding to the periods between t1 and t4 including the discontinuous parts t1, t1, e.g., a delay corresponding to the period of (t4-t2) is given, overlapped to the preceding and succeeding parts of the discontinuous part, and a prescribed attenuation is given respectively to the preceding and succeeding parts to the discontinuous part and the result is added. Thus, the unnaturality on the audible sense is reduced.
