PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn useful as a material for electrical-conductive carpet, having improved electrical conductivity and fiber performance even in low carbon black content, by drawing electrically-conductive carbon black- containing thermoplastic synthetic resin under specific drawing and heat-treating conditions. CONSTITUTION:In drawing thermoplastic yarn containing electrically conductive carbon black is sectional area of the yarn, drawing temperature HR, draw ratio DR1, heat-treatment temperature HP and elongation ratio DR2 in the heat treatment are in ranges of formula Tg+80 deg.C<HR<Tg+120 deg.C (Tg is glass transition temperature), formula MDRX0.4<=DR1<=MDRX0.6 (MDR is maximum draw ratio up to breaking), formula Tm-20 deg.C<=HP<Tm (Tm is melting point) and formula 0.95<=DR2<=1.0.
