PURPOSE:To remarkably improve workability by constituting a siphon type converter tap hole in such a manner that said tap hole can be easily and exactly attached and detached in any posture to and from a converter side tap hole flange. CONSTITUTION:A fastening mechanism 9 has a fastening arm 12 which is supported at one end 12a and is formed, at the other end 12b, with a hook 19 engaging with the rear side of a mounting surface 4a of the converter side tap hole flange 4, a supporting shaft 22 thereof and a working shaft 27 for oscillating the fastening arm 12. The mechanism is also provided with a lever member 14 which exists between the shaft 22 and the shaft 27 and is oscillatable around a turning fulcrum shaft 13, a screw body 16 which is moved by screwing to the siphon type converter tap hole 1 in order to displace the shaft 27, and a pressing mechanism 12 which is oscillatable around the shaft 27 and presses the arm 12 in the oscillating direction. The arm 12 is oscillated and displaced in any posture only by the turning of the screw body 16, by which a hook 19 is engaged and disengaged with and from a rear side 20 of the mounting surface 4a of the flange 4.
