MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium which is improved in running durability by forming the medium in such a manner that the magnetic layer thereof contains a vinyl chloride resin having a polar group and carbon-carbon unsatd. bond and polyurethane acrylate of 1-30 acid value having a carboxyl group and the back layer thereof has a polyacrylate compd. and that radiations are irradiated thereto. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic layer contains the vinyl chloride resin having the polar group and carbon-carbon unsatd. bond and the polyurethane acrylate of 1-30 acid value having the carboxyl group. The back layer contains the polyacrylate compd. and the radiations are irradiated thereto. Although the above-mentioned magnetic recording medium has the magnetic layer thinner than the conventional magnetic recording medium, said medium has an improved S/N ratio, decreased coefft. of dynamic friction and improved running durability and is extremely useful as the magnetic recording medium to make particularly high-density recording.
