PURPOSE:To enable even a non-impact type electronic photography printer to print in boldface pattern by printing out the second character symbol pattern through identification of an overlapped printing instruction code in entered data. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a font ROM 8a is selected for initial font pattern, and if a character code is selected in an execution code area 23 of a code memory 10 and equal to that in an execution code area 21, and data in an execution code area 22 is a back space code, then a boldface font ROM 8b is selected from the font ROM 8a after judgement of the case as for overlapped printing, setting an overlapped printing flag ON. After this, a single character corresponding to a character stored in the execution code area 23 is ganerated by the font ROM 8a and developed in a page buffer memory for output 6. The overlapped printing flag judge whether it is ON, and if it is ON, the font ROM 8a is to be reselected, subjecting data in the execution code areas 22, 21 to GET processing twice. |
