PURPOSE:To prevent data after a completion signal from being stored in a memory by stopping the reception of the signal when a part of the number of plural specific patterns constituting the completion signal during the detection of a signal indicating the completion of a facsimile picture signal and the storage in a memory together with the data. CONSTITUTION:A shift register 12 is constituted of 12 bits equal to the specific (EOL) pattern and the EOL pattern (000000000001) remains therein when the completion signal (RTC) signal is detected. Then, the number of the bits of the three EOL patterns is set in a counter in the memory 3. When the three EOL patterns are transferred, the counter in the memory 3 completes the counting to release a reset signal, an FF 16 is set again to close a gate 15 and stop the shift register 12. Thereby, as shown by C, an RTC signal consisting of six EOL patterns is held in the memory and the data thereafter is not transferred to the memory.
