发明名称 INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING THICKNESS OF MOLTEN FLUX LAYER
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily and safely detect the thickness of a flux by measuring the resistance value up to a molten metal surface by a liftable electrode, detecting the positions of the top surface of the flux and the molten metal surface and calculating the difference therebetween. CONSTITUTION:Specified current is supplied to the electrode 13a which is verti cally moved by a lifting device 19 to measure the resistance value from the electrode 13a to the molten metal surface. The resistance value is introduced into a comparator 21 to repeat the vertical movement between the resistance value at the upper limit of the top surface of the molten flux layer and the resistance value at the lower limit corresponding to the molten metal surface. On the other hand, this movement is converted to a voltage signal by a position detector 20 of a potentiometer provided to the lifting device 19. The voltage is processed by a signal processor 28, by which the above-mentioned upper and lower limit positions are detected and the difference thereof is calculated. The results thereof are displayed on an indicator 31. The thickness of the molten flux layer is thus safely and continuously detected with ease of adjustment.
