PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a printer for a personal computer as the sensor and the printer for a facsimile, by providing a read head on the printer for the personal computer. CONSTITUTION:In a print out mode, a mode switching circuit 17 goes to an off-state, and no control of a printer 1 by a facsimile transmission/reception part 4 is performed, and the printer 1 is operated as the printer to print out data from the personal computer. When a facsimile transmission is performed, a document is set on the printer 1, and a transmission operation, such as the call of an opposite, etc., is performed. When the facsimile reception is performed, similarly as in a transmission, a head feed motor 11, and a paper feed motor 10 are controlled by the facsimile transmission/reception part 4. And a picture signal from the opposite read out from a picture signal memory 16 is printed on a form by a print head 2.
