PURPOSE:To supply fuel in a proper injection angle into a suction pipe by setting the ratio between the diameter of an injection hole and the distance from an obstacle and the ratio between the diameter of an atomizing chamber and the length of the obstacle to the respective specific ranges. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection valve is equipped with a cylindrical atomizing chamber 5 which permits the passing of the fuel jetted from an injection hole 2 and jets the mist into the suction pipe of an internal combustion engine and a cross-shaped obstacle 4b which is installed into the atomizing chamber 5 and permits the collision of the jetted fuel. The ratio M/d between the diameter (d) of the injection hole 2 and the distance M between the injection hole 2 and the obstacle 4b is set within a range of 2-3. Further, the ratio L/D between the diameter of the atomizing chamber 5 and the length L of the obstacle 4b is set within a range of 0.8-2. Therefore, the fuel jetted into the atomizing chamber 5 from the injection hole 2 collides with the obstacle 4b and is atomized, and the spread of the jetted mist is regulated to a proper range, preventing the adhesion of fuel onto the inner walls of the atomizing chamber 5 and the suction pipe. |
