PURPOSE:To detect riding-on/off of a driver so as to actuate a tilt mechanism positively by providing an actuating sensor for the tilt mechanism controlling a steering wheel in such a way as to be freely tilted onto the seating section of a driver's seat or its back section. CONSTITUTION:Each of actuating switches 6 is provided while being imbedded one by one at each of the seating section of a driver's seat and the center section of its back section equipped with a reclining mechanism. Accordingly, when the driver takes a seat, each of the actuating switches 6 is pressed so as to be turned on. In this case, when a car is found to be, for example at a standstill by a car speed sensor 22, a standstill detecting circuit 23 is turned on for turning an AND circuit 21 on. As a result, a tilt return circuit 24 is turned on for rotating a tilt motor 25 reversely wherein a steering wheel is tilted back so as to be returned to a driving position set in advance. |
