In a throttle cock for flowing media, a throttle plug is provided, which has a bore lying transversely to the plug axis with different flow cross-sections. The bush halves surrounding the throttle plug are made from different materials. As a result, in spite of abrasive loading of the throttle cock for the flowing medium, the partial use of more simple materials is possible.
