The cell has a housing with a carrier rail (7) and incorporating at least one opening (12) for a cell pole (30). The pole has a contact part (17) coupled to a cable terminal contact part. The pole insertion opening (12) is provided in the sidewall (13) of the cell housing adjacent the carrier rail (7). The pole (30) comprises a flange (11) fitting around the opening (12) on the inside and an external counter-flange (1) supporting the contact part (17). The two flanges (11,1) are joined together via the opening (12).
