The system detects the unauthorised movement of an article or assembly from a given location, such as in the act of theft or burglary from a home, office, store or warehouse. Detection of such unauthorised movement or theft may be made at a remote location, such as a monitor station partic. when such movement is detected beyond predetermined bounds or limits. The system involves the short wave transmission of code signals which are indicative of the identity of the article or assembly and/or the location of its unauthorised movement. The detector comprises an accelerometer operable to generate an analogue signal. The alarm includes a display and a speech generator indicating the position of the object being moved. |
