The device for eliminating troublesome splashing of water by vehicle tyres consists of a planar structure which is intended for arrangement in the circumferential area of the tyre and whose surface which faces the respective tyre is provided with a plurality of flexible, thin, at least mainly upright pegs. In this device, the configuration of pegs is divided by ribs extending in the circumferential direction and/or rib sections into a plurality of individual configurations which have the shape of annular sections.
